“I had separated, spent two years alone. Then I saw her [the nephew’s ex] and was like, ‘Oh my God, I’m in love.’ I only found out afterward that my nephew had dated her,” the actor said.
He also revealed that he spoke to his nephew about the situation. “I went to him, you know, like ‘what’s up?’ And he was like, ‘go ahead.’ So I said, ‘alright, cheers.’ And I fell in love — and it was fine,” he added.
Wayans later joked that “family gatherings got a little awkward.” He did not reveal the names of either the nephew or the woman.
